We at Caribbean Labour Solidarity responded by supporting the candidature of Jeremey Corbyn to fight for his seat in Islington North which he has held for over 40 years. Many labour supporters in Islington were enraged at the way the National Executive of the party imposed a candidate on them. Many joined the Corbyn campaign, including Anette Thomas, who aged 93 had been a labour supporter for over 50 years and was immediately expelled from the party for supporting Corbyn.
