Speakers:

Raphael Andrews – Caribbean Labour Solidarity representative at the Anti Racism and Fascism Day School
Raphael attended the Anti Racism and Fascism Day School organised by the Communist Party of Britain in partnership with the Morning Star. The aim of the Day School was to unite all workers to remember the struggles of the past and to challenge racism and fascism.
He will outline the discussion that took place and the resolutions agreed.

Dennis Bartholomew – Grenada–Forward Ever
In October 1983 US forces invaded Grenada and seized the bodies of the Revolution’s leader, Maurice Bishop, and others slain with him and took them away. To date they have offered no explanation of what they have done with these remains.
The Committee for Human Rights in Grenada (UK) and Grenada–Forward Ever have jointly launched a campaign demanding an explanation from the U.S. government as to what they did with the bodies and insisting that their remains are returned. Dennis will update the meeting of the Campaign’s work.

Isaac Bigio – Amigo Month Committee

The Committee seeks to bring about unity between the Latin American and Caribbean countries by putting on events in the United Kingdom from these communities; providing information from these territories and bringing together the races, including the indigenous people of the region. Isaac will explain in more detail the work of AMC.
